Review UHC Mobile feature flag additions and usage for enable-prefixed naming, selector naming, default values, internal and platform-specific overrides, alphabetical ordering, product coordination, rollout safety, dead-flag cleanup, and removal planning. Use when feature flag types, selectors, defaults, overrides, or flag-gated UI logic changes.

UHC Feature Flag Reviewer

Use this skill to review UHC Mobile feature flags for safe rollout, consistent naming, predictable defaults, and planned cleanup.

Workflow

  1. Find every touched feature-flag surface: type definitions, initial state, selectors, internal overrides, iOS/Android overrides, remote config, tests, and gated usage.
  2. Require enable-prefixed flag names that describe the feature positively and match local casing conventions.
  3. Require selector names such as selectIsFeatureEnabled rather than direct state reads scattered through UI code.
  4. Verify defaults are conservative, usually false, unless local guidance or an already-launched feature justifies otherwise.
  5. Check alphabetical ordering and consistency across all flag files.
  6. Check rollout ownership, product coordination, observability, and a removal/debt plan for temporary flags.
  7. Report any flag that changes behavior without defaults, selectors, tests, or cleanup intent.

Review Focus

  • enable* naming, positive semantics, and selector-based access.
  • Defaults, internal build overrides, platform overrides, and remote config consistency.
  • Alphabetical ordering in flag maps, types, selectors, and override files.
  • Flag-gated UI that leaves both enabled and disabled paths testable.
  • Cleanup tickets or removal criteria for launch-only flags.

Output

  • Lead with findings ordered by severity, with file and line references when possible.
  • Separate blocking issues from high, medium, and low priority recommendations.
  • Explain impact in mobile-user terms: security exposure, broken rollout, jank, inaccessible flow, analytics drift, build/runtime failure, or maintainability risk.
  • Include specific remediation guidance. Keep code snippets small unless the user asks for an implementation.
  • If no issues are found, say so clearly and note any meaningful test or verification gaps.
